His name is Bruno,
You can reach Carly at 970 394 4660 or me (Corin) at 970 739 6963

"Here he is in all of his humble glory. Bruno is his name and he’s tall and athletic.. goes about 50 -60 lbs. and also goes about 30 miles an hour. He’s also very uneducated to the nuances of the world In a wonderful way.. taking a treat from our hand for the first time was like discovering chocolate or the way he looks up all the time in wonder.. birds planes tree branches. It’s hard to take your eyes off of him. If you had to go on personality and wisdom you’d peg him at 9 months.. we’re guessing 2- 2 1/2 yrs. old. When we walk I get so proud of his restraint. He has the ability to bound down the sidewalk with my arm attached to the leash but in reality you get these tiny little tugs due to his head turning at every mammal insect reptile and fauna.. it’s very entertaining. Other dogs are very new and fascinating to Bruno and he gets very excited to play as hard as he possibly can. He has made a friend.. acquaintance with our cat.. some good sniffs and a carry on.. and that was that.

This is a special guy."

Caroline County Animal Shelter

More About This Rescue

Dogs and cats are available for adoption at the Caroline County Animal Shelter. Only Caroline County residents or adjoining County residents (Hanover, King George, Essex, Spotsylvania, Stafford, King and Queen and King William) are able to adopt non-sterilized animals. By state law, anyone who adopts a dog or cat must have his or her new pet sterilized. Any Virginia citizen may adopt animals that have already been sterilized.

Adoption fees for all dogs and cats are currently $45, which includes a certificate to have your pet spayed or neutered.

If you are interested in adopting a pet, contact the Animal Shelter at (804) 633-9041 or visit the shelter in person (located at 14080 Devils Three Jump Road).

Shelter hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
