Please contact Lynn & Cedric ([email protected]) for more information about this pet.
All of our dogs and cats are in foster homes and we have no paid staff. If you have questions concerning a specific animal, PLEASE fill out an application and the foster parent will be in touch. We will not arrange any home visits with any of our dogs and cats until your application is processed. Please understand our foster parents are precious to our 2nd Chance family; without them we cannot function, so we do our best to not burden them with multiple appointments. Our foster parents will choose their top 3 applications and arrange home visits with these applicants. The adopter will be chosen at that time. The process can take anywhere from a week to a month. We want to make sure our little furry ones are placed in their "forever home" and never have to go through a rehoming again!
Hello my name is Misty. My best friend is Koko. I literally need to know where she is at all times and I get very upset if I do not see her. Our human mommy passed away and we laid beside her for a few days until someone finally realized something was wrong and sent the police to check on us. The nice neighbor lady took us to our vets office and the Director of 2nd Chance just happened to be there and had had to leave one of her dogs because it was really sick. She came out to the waiting room spotted us and came over for a “pup fix” or thats what she called it. She gave us some loving and asked the neighbor how old we were. The neighbor explained what happened and the Director immediately gave her her card and said to please give it to the family and she would help if they needed her. 2 days later she came to see us and we were cold laying on the cement floor and she said “oh no this is no place for a senior pair and scooped us up after getting permission from the family and we have been with her ever since. KoKo has a really bad heart and the Director is used to dealing with medical issues so when KoKo starts coughing more than she should the Director knows what to do š She promised us and our mommies family that she will never separate us so we are happy about that and we sleep in bed with the Director so life is all good again š
